The brief is an instruction for the designer, it gives an idea of the amount of work to be done. In it, you describe and disclose your wishes about style, color scheme, examples of what you like and what you don't. The more detailed the brief is, the better I will understand your wishes and ideas.

I do the landing page design in 2-5 days. A multi-page site is a bit longer. You can choose a simple design: standard blocks, simple clean typography, photo content. But if you want a unique design with the creation of complex graphics, animation — it will cost more.

Edits are the way to improve the project, but there is a fine line here. For myself, I share the edits where I didn't take something into account and those where the customer wants to make the designer's hands, playing with fonts, the shape of the circle and the color of the buttons. It is important that they focus on the quality of content and functionality.
